Refueling - more than super is a German sitcom on ZDF Neo . It is an adaptation of the Icelandic series Næturvaktin .
action
Georg Bergstedt is deposed as head of the day shift at the super petrol station and used as head of the night shift. His employees are Olaf, who likes to work as a singer, and Daniel, who has dropped out of his medical studies and sees work at the gas station as an interim solution. His friend Charlotte keeps trying to get him back to university. Olaf falls in love with Jana, the new head of the day shift.
Georg Bergstedt wants to be reassigned the day shift as soon as possible and is therefore trying all sorts of actions to distinguish himself as a boss and increase sales. The commitment of his employees can hardly meet this goal. Instead, Bergstedt is threatened with dismissal as he causes damage through his sales campaigns and safety exercises.
At the end of the season it turns out that the new day shift supervisor Jana, about whom Bergstedt could not find any information, had received a new identity from the BND and brought the child of a North Korean to safety. Since Bergstedt erroneously started a demonstration against a home for the disabled, he was released. The workforce tries to reverse this with a singing video.

The reviews were mixed to negative. Jana Bärenwaldt from Fernsehserien.de gave the show a very negative review. She found the show “more than super bad”, said that the “import format lacks any originality” and gave it a rating of 0.5 out of 5 stars. David Segler from the Frankfurter Rundschau described the show as a “witty figure cabaret” and “outrageous sitcom slapstick” and said, “It's impressive how long just 25 minutes can feel. The inconsequential slapstick farce of 'refueling' turns them into an eternity. "Julian Miller fromquotemeter.de also gave a largely negative review and said," 'refueling' unfortunately has nothing to offer but the obvious [...] The series tells as if there had been no further development of the content or any new impulses since the days of ' Rita's World '. It's not great. At most E10 . ”In an article from Die Zeit it was said:“ When ZDF adapts a ten year old Icelandic format and sells it as a new comedy offensive, it must be pretty desperate. [...] The fictional 'Super' gas station on ZDFneo lacks any laconic joke, although the team [...] definitely has potential. The actors are condemned to process standard situations with predictable dialogues [...]. "
Heike Hupertz from the FAZ , on the other hand, gave a positive review, saying “that has real potential for jokes” and “some episodes still have room for improvement. Overall, however, the […] German sitcom 'Tanken' makes you want more. "
