The Tata Tigor is a sedan in small car format from the Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors .

history

The vehicle was first shown as the Kite 5 concept vehicle at the Auto Expo in New Delhi in early 2016 . The production version made its debut at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. Shortly afterwards, sales began in India.

The sedan is based on the Tiago introduced in 2016 , from which it also takes over the engines.

Tigor JTP

At the Auto Expo , presented in February 2018 Tata to jointly with Jayem Automotive developed Tigor JTP . This represents the sports version of the vehicle and is powered by the 83 kW (114 hp) 1.2-liter gasoline engine from the Tata Nexon . In India, the Tigor JTP was launched on the market together with the Tiago JTP in September 2018.

Tigor EV

Tata Motors has been building electrically powered variants of the Tigor for the car rental company Zoomcar since the end of 2018. They are initially only rented in Pune .
