Techanting , Teharče in Slovenian , is a village in the Faaker See basin in Carinthia and a town in the municipality of Finkenstein am Faaker See in the Villach Land district .

geography

The village is located west of Finkenstein, directly south of Gödersdorf , about 3.5 km from the Villach / Warmbad motorway exit, on the Goritscher Bach . It includes about 120 buildings about 300 residents. The village is made up of the two districts of Untertechanting in the west (cadastral community Gödersdorf) and Obertechanting in the east (cadastral community Mallestig )

The village also includes farm Stiegerhof and the wastelands Holitzer , Kopanig (800 m) and force (1000 n ⊙ ).

In the south of the Austrian-Slovenian border ridge which lies west Karavanke , the Techantinger Mittagskogel than twelve o'clock mountain of the place - it is also, according to the homestead troop / Trupej, troop Kogel , Slovenian Trupejevo poldne called.
