Teemu Ramstedt (born December 9, 1987 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Slovan Bratislava in the Continental Hockey League since August 2017 .

Career

Teemu Ramstedt began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HIFK Helsinki , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga , the top Finnish league, in the 2005/06 season . At the same time, he played six games for the Finnish U20 national team in the second-rate Mestis . From 2006 to 2008 the center played for league rivals TPS Turku and during this period ran parallel for the Finnish U20 national team and Forssan Palloseura in the Mestis. For the 2008/09 season , the Finn returned to his hometown club HIFK Helsinki, with whom he won the Finnish championship title in the 2010/11 season .

For the 2011/12 season Ramstedt was signed by the Espoo Blues and subsequently completed 91 SM-liiga games for the Blues before he was signed by SKA Saint Petersburg from the Continental Hockey League in January 2013 . In May 2013 he moved within the league to HC Lev Prague , but left the club again in August of the same year without having played a competitive game for HC Lev. At the end of August he got a contract with AIK Stockholm before returning to his hometown club in January 2014.

Between August and November 2017, Ramstedt was under contract with HC Slovan Bratislava in the Continental Hockey League , but only played two games for Slovan and ended the season with Rauman Lukko in Finland.

International

For Finland , Ramstedt took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 . During the tournament he scored one goal and three assists in six games.
