Telemark World Championship

The Telemark World Championships are a biannual sporting event in which the world champions in telemarking are determined in various races .

From 1987 a world championship was held annually by the World Telemark Committee before the FIS Telemark Committee organized the event from 1996. From 1997 the world championships were only held every two years. The FIS Council has been organizing the World Championship since 2005 . From 2005, the Junior World Championships will be held in parallel.

The World Cup has already been awarded four times to a city in Norway and three times to a city in Switzerland and France . Sweden , Austria and the United States each hosted the World Cup twice. Once the World Cup has been awarded to Italy and Canada .
