Tennis Masters Cup 2002

The Tennis Masters Cup 2002 took place from November 11th to 17th, 2002 in the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in Shanghai and thus for the first time in China ; it was played indoors on a hard court. This was the 33rd edition of the tournament in singles, in doubles it was not played. The Tennis Masters Cup was next to the four Grand Slams the most important tournament in men's professional tennis, it took place at the end of the season and is part of the ATP Tour .

The winner was the Australian Lleyton Hewitt . It was his second title; he was thus able to defend the title from the previous year .
