Terry Chen

Terry Chen (born February 3, 1975 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian film and television actor.

Live and act

Chen was born to Asians of Chinese and Taiwanese descent in Edmonton, Alberta. After training in his hometown and in Vancouver , British Columbia , he attended college in Calgary and later studied at the University of Calgary . After graduating, he traveled for two years, first to the Cayman Islands and then returned to Vancouver to devote himself to acting. He currently still lives in town and regularly travels to Los Angeles , California for additional film and television work .

Chen was cast as Rolling Stone writer Ben Fong-Torres in Almost Famous (2000), which became his first major hit. He has since starred in Steven Spielberg's Emmy- winning science fiction television series Taken (2002) and in the films I, Robot (2004), Riddick: Chronicles of a Warrior (2004), and Snakes on a Plane (2006).

In the horror thriller They Wait (2007), which was inspired by a true story, he plays the lead role alongside Jaime King as his wife and the ten-year-old actor Regan Oey as their son.

In 2011 he took on a leading role in the Canadian television series Combat Hospital .
