Reviews

The album received medium to very good reviews. The Musikexpress awarded 4.5 out of 6 possible points. The magazine wrote that The Hamilton Mixtape had "received an additional political upgrade" in the context of the US presidential election . The "star appearance guarantees the highest quality, but no musical revolutions."

Pitchfork only awarded 4.8 out of 10 possible points. The mixtape lacks "the nerve-wracking tension" of the musical, it is "further evidence that Miranda's unique work cannot be photocopied."
