The BRIT School

The BRIT School (full name The London School for Performing Arts & Technology ) is a secondary school for performing arts and technology based in Selhurst , London , England . The school is government-funded and focuses on professional education in the performing arts, media , art and design and the associated technologies that enable these arts to be displayed.

history

The BRIT School was founded in 1991 as part of the City Technology Colleges initiative and funded by the British Record Industry Trust . The BRIT Awards collect donations at the annual awards ceremony, which also benefit the BRIT School.

Admission criteria

Potential students must apply for a course. If the applicants meet the basic requirements, they will be invited to an interview in their main subject (media, music, musical , drama, stage technology , dance) and must also have an interview with their future teacher in this main subject.
