The Relapse Symphony is an alternative rock / post hardcore band from Washington, DC , United States , formed in 2012 .
history
The band was founded in Washington, DC in 2012 and consists of singer Bret Von Dehl, guitarists JC Charles and Ray Miller, bassist Brandon Kyle and drummer Alex Foxx. In the same year, an EP in self-production was released with Time's Running Out .
On July 30, 2012, the group signed a record deal with StandBy Records and released their debut album, Shadows, through the record company in mid-2014 . The album was reissued as an unplugged version at the end of the same year and released as Shadows: Acoustic Sessions .
Between September and October 2013, the band toured with Blood on the Dance Floor by North America . In June and July 2014, the group toured the United States and Canada with The Dead Rabbitts . In August, the band played several concerts as the opening act for Eyes Set to Kill in the States. For 2015 the band was booked for some concerts on the Warped Tour .
On May 27, 2015, the group released the first single from their second studio album, A Perfect Lie . This is called Born to Burn and will be released on June 23, 2015 via StandBy Records. From 5 May 20, 2016, the group toured as opening act for Wednesday 13 along the west coast of the United States.

According to US Revolver Magazine , the group plays glam rock- inspired metalcore comparable to Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria , with the reviewer suggesting that The Relapse Symphony is releasing a better album than Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria have. The sound of The Relapse Symphony is comparable to Panic! At The Disco , My Chemical Romance , Three Days Grace but also with AFI , I Am Ghost and Aiden .
