NFL
Riddick was selected 199th overall by the Detroit Lions in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft .
In his 2013 rookie season , Riddick was only used sporadically as a running back and also once as a kick returner . During his next seasons in 2014 and 2015 , he came more and more missions, and the Lions found him increasingly used in the passing game , where he acted as a so-called third-down-back . He had 697 yards and 3 touchdowns on 80 balls in the 2015 season passing game .
In the 2016 season, starting running back Ameer Abdullah injured himself on September 21, 2016 and had to end the season prematurely, whereby Riddick was declared the new starting player in the position of running back. This season he made 8 appearances as a starting player. Towards the end of the regular season, however, Riddick injured his wrist and had to end the season prematurely on December 31, 2016, which was tragic for the team and players inasmuch as the Lions made it into the play-offs after this season . After the season he underwent operations on both wrists, the rehabilitation of which should not hinder his preparation for the following season. In late July 2019, Riddick was fired after spending six seasons in Detroit.
On August 4, 2019, he received a new contract with the Denver Broncos . With his first pass catch a week later in the preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks , he suffered a shoulder injury and was then put on the Injured Reserve List.
On August 23, 2020, the Las Vegas Raiders signed Riddick.
