Thomas Clemens (born June 15, 1970 ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Clemens grew up bilingual, with German and French . In 1988 he finished his education at the Lycée Français de Vienne in Vienna . From 1988 to 1991 he completed an acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. Further studies followed from 1991 to 1992 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris . Clemens also attended various workshops for actors, including those of Cédric Klapisch and Angelina Maccarone .

After completing his training, Clemens initially worked as a stage actor . From 1992 to 1995 he had a permanent engagement at the Theater Aachen ; from 1995 to 1999 he played at the Burgtheater in Vienna. There he appeared in the plays Das Mädchen aus der Feenwelt or Der Bauer als Millionär (1996) and, under the direction of Einar Schleef , in the world premiere of the play Ein Sportstück in 1998 . In 1996 he also made a guest appearance at the Wiener Festwochen with the Burgtheater ensemble . Since then he has been working as a freelance actor.

Since the late 1990s, Clemens regularly took on roles in film and television. He played episode roles in various television series, mainly in crime series, including Die Wache , Kommissar Rex , Rosa Roth , Schnell Determined , SOKO Kitzbühel and SOKO Vienna . He also had several roles in the crime series Tatort . In 2007 he was in the Tatort film Satisfaction , alongside Axel Prahl and Jan Josef Liefers , as Dr. To see Leon Strobel ; He played an old comrade of the victim's corps from studying together.

Since 2005 he has played the continuous serial role of the pathologist and forensic doctor Dr. in the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne. Philip Kraft .
