Thomas Koch (born July 25, 1971 in Hennigsdorf ) is a German actor . Since 2001 he has played a leading role in the series In all friendship .

Life

Thomas Koch, the son of development workers , spent parts of his childhood and youth in Mali and Borneo, among other places .

Koch studied business administration from 1990 to 1993 , then from 1993 to 1997 he completed acting training at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .

From 1997 to 2000, Koch was a permanent member of the ensemble at the National Theater Weimar . He played there in the Shakespeare plays Liebes Leid und Lust (role: Biron), Much Ado About Nothing (roles: Claudio, Conrad) and King Lear (role: Edmund), in the musical The Black Rider (role: Wilhelm ), in the operetta production Die Schöne Helena (roles: Merkur, Achill), in Goethe's Iphigenie auf Tauris (role: Orest), in Ionesco's Die Nashörner (role: Hans) and in a stage version by Effi Briest (role: Major Crampas).

In autumn 2004 he performed together with Dieter Bellmann and Andrea Kathrin Loewig in the Krystallpalast Leipzig . In 2006 he took on the role of the emcee in the musical Cabaret , in a production with colleagues from the series In allerfreund .

He has worked in several film and television productions and in numerous theater plays . Among other things, Koch worked in the television film Tierärztin Dr. Mertens and the television series Notruf Hafenkante . In 2008 he played a supporting role in the youth series Finally Saturday! . Koch gained greater fame on television in particular through the series In allerfreund , in which he has played the role of Dr. Philipp Brentano plays.

Thomas Koch lives in Leipzig and Berlin .
