Thomas Reumann
Thomas Reumann (born December 8, 1955 in Stuttgart ) is a German administrative lawyer , district administrator in the Reutlingen district . From 2015 to 2017 he was President of the German Hospital Society (DKG).
education and profession
After studying law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and completing his legal clerkship at the Tübingen regional court , Reumann was deputy department head in the Schwäbisch Hall district office , before becoming a consultant in the construction and regional planning department of the Tübingen regional council in 1986 .
From 1990 he worked as a consultant in the Department for Family and Society, Promotion of Social Services and Facilities in the Ministry of Labor, Health, Women and Social Affairs of the State of Baden-Württemberg .
After attending the Baden-Württemberg Leadership Academy , he first became head of the District Office for Asylum in Reutlingen in January 1993 and, two years later, head of the division for integration, immigration and asylum law in the Tübingen regional council.
Political career
From March 1997 to June 2000 Reumann was the first state civil servant in the Reutlingen district.
Subsequently, he was first mayor, head of the finance and economic department of the city of Reutlingen .
On January 31, 2005, Reumann was elected by the Reutlinger Kreisag with 44 out of 70 votes in the first ballot for a term of office beginning April 1, 2005 as District Administrator of the Reutlingen district. On January 28, 2013, he was confirmed in his office by 60 of 66 voting district councilors. Reumann clearly opposes a division of the district area by founding a city district requested by the city of Reutlingen. His approach is clearly criticized by the city of Reutlingen.
Other offices
From 2015 to 2017 Thomas Reumann was the successor to Alfred Dänzer President of the German Hospital Society (DKG). Before that, he was chairman of the Baden-Württemberg Hospital Association from 2009 to 2014.
He is also a member of the Federal Joint Committee and a member of the Enquete Commission on Care of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament .
In his role as district administrator, he is chairman of the administrative board of Kreissparkasse Reutlingen and chairman of the supervisory board of Kreiskliniken Reutlingen GmbH. In addition, Reumann is Chairman of the Health Committee of the German District Assembly and a member of the Presidium of the District Assembly of Baden-Württemberg .
From 2007 to 2015 he was chairman of the supervisory board of Verkehrsverbund Neckar-Alb-Donau GmbH and from 2008 to 2014 chairman of the Schwäbische Alb Tourismusverband eV
Private
Reumann is married and has three children. He is an honorary member of the Achalm Knighthood in Reutlingen.
