Thomas Richter (sculptor)
Thomas Richter (* 1942 in Chemnitz ) is a German architect , painter and sculptor .
Live and act
Richter grew up in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and Rostock . Since 1956 he was a student of the graphic artist Armin Münch in Rostock. After graduating from high school in 1960 in Lichtenstein / Sa. he left the GDR and studied architecture and building history at the Technical University of Berlin until 1964 , painting with Vincenz Pieper and sculpture with Erich Fritz Reuter . He then worked as an architect in Nuremberg and Erlangen while studying art history , archeology and philosophy in Erlangen.
Since 1972 he has been working as a freelance artist.

- 2000: Heidenheim, at the artist symposium ARCHE-2000 in the old Benedictine monastery: "From heavy to light", sculptural installation and sound-text performance with the participation of Wu-Wei (mouth organ) and Reinhard Knodt (texts).
- 2007: Tarnowskie Góry (Pl) culture days for the district partnerships Erlangen / Höchstadt and Tarnowskie Gory: exhibitions, performance; Tarnowskie Gory (Pl), Internat. Symposium "Srebrem Pisane" (written in silver), organized by the "Friends of the Tarnowitz Land" on the "Dni Gwarkow".
