Tim Rodig

Tim Rodig (* 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German jazz musician .

Tim Rodig plays the saxophone , clarinet , flute and piano . He studied jazz music from 1993 to 1994 at the New School in New York City and from 1994 to 2000 in Hilversum and Amsterdam . In 1997 he founded the Tim Rodig Quintet (also: Tim Rodig 5), in which he plays with Claas Ueberschar ( trumpet ), Buggy Braune ( piano ), Oliver Karstens ( bass ) and Ole Seimetz ( drums ). He is also co-founder of the Stage Club in Hamburg, where he organizes regular jam sessions . In addition to his own band, he has already played for artists such as Roger Cicero , Ulita Knaus , Stefan Gwildis , Don Friedman , Maria Schneider , Peter Herbolzheimer , the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (feat. Anne Sofie von Otter ) and Joe Gallardo .
