Timo Brauer (born May 30, 1990 in Essen ) is a German football player .

Career

Brauer began his career with Ballfreunden Bergeborbeck in the north of Essen and moved to Schwarz-Weiß Essen in the summer of 2002 in the south of the city at the Uhlenkrug . After a year he left the ETB again and switched to FC Schalke 04 .

For the 2009/10 season he left FC Schalke 04 and went to Rot-Weiss Essen II in the NRW League . There he quickly became a regular player and in the winter of 2009 he was appointed to the first team, where he made a few short appearances. After Rot-Weiss Essen's forced relegation to the NRW League and the rebuilding of the first team, Brauer was appointed captain. With ten goals, he became the club's top scorer in the 2010/11 season . At the beginning of the following season, Brauer scored 1-0 against second division club 1. FC Union Berlin in the first round of the DFB Cup, and Essen finally advanced on penalties.

In the summer of 2012, Brauer moved to the 3rd division for the second division relegated Alemannia Aachen . He made his professional debut on the 2nd matchday in a 3-2 home win against Wacker Burghausen .

For the 2013/14 season , Brauer moved to the U-23 of Hamburger SV . In the summer of 2014 he moved to the Austrian first division for SV Grödig .

After Grödig retired from professional football, he returned to the German regional league club Rot-Weiss Essen in summer 2016, where he received a contract that was valid until June 2019. For the 2019/20 season he moved to the third division Sportfreunde Lotte .
