Life
Timothy West is the son of British actor Lockwood West and his wife Olive. Although he does not have a title of nobility himself, West comes from the family of Earl De La Warr, and thus from Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr . Both parents were on tour for most of the year.
West enjoyed his education at the John Lyon School in the London Borough of Harrow and a polytechnic before he first appeared on the stage in the play Summertime in the theater at Wimbledon in 1956 . Numerous engagements followed at other British theaters, including in Northampton and Salisbury . In the late 1950s, West became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company . In the British miniseries Edward the Seventh , West appeared as Edward VII in 1975 .
Timothy West has been married twice so far. His daughter Juliet comes from a brief first marriage to Jacqueline Boyer in the late 1950s.
