Tinko Rosenow Banabakow (born April 22, 1994 in Veliko Tarnowo ) is a Bulgarian boxer .

Career

The 1.68 m tall left boom began boxing in 2009 and became Bulgarian youth champion in 2011 and 2012, and also won a bronze medal at the 2012 Ahmet Cömert Tournament after losing to Murodjon Ahmadaliyev in the semi-final . Also in 2012 he took part in the World Youth Championships in Armenia and reached 11th place.

At the European Championships in 2013 he lost in the first fight against Manuel Cappai , but won a bronze medal at the World Combat Games 2013 in Russia . In 2013 and 2014, he won the Golden Gong Tournament in Macedonia .

In 2015 he took part in the European Games in Azerbaijan , where he was eliminated in 10th place against Brendan Irvine . However , he finished the European Championships in 2015 with a bronze medal after losing to Vasily Yegorov in the semi-final . He was qualified for the 2015 World Championships in Qatar , where he lost to Dawid Jagodziński in the round of 16.

In 2016 he tried to qualify for the Olympic Games , but failed in the eliminations in Samsun and Baku to Arthur Hovhannisyan and Leandro Blanc respectively .

In February 2017 he won the Strandja Memorial Tournament in Bulgaria with victories against the starters from Turkey, Ukraine, India and England. At the 2017 European Championships , he was eliminated by Samuel Carmona . At the 2018 EU Championships in Spain, he defeated Conor Quinn and Tarik Ibrahim before being eliminated with a bronze medal in the semifinals against Will Cawley.

At the 2019 European Games , he was eliminated by Federico Serra .
