Titular diocese of Maronea

Maronea ( Italian : Maronia ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of Maroneia in the Roman province of Thracia or in late ancient Rhodope (today in Rodopi , Greece ).
