background

The album was announced on March 6, 2015 with the first single Prolog . On March 20, the lyric video of the song The Adults followed , for which the "correct" video was published four days later. From then on, the prelistenting stream was also accessible on Ampya . The third single was released on July 17th, Rebel Boy , followed by Zucker on October 2nd.

The album is described by the band as a concept album on the subject of "love", often referring to the socialist symbolism ( cover color , May 1st as the release date ), as a kind of political counterpoint to the personal theme of the album. Tocotronic are known for their left-wing political stance and the song Solidarity is also reminiscent of a key concept in the labor movement.

The record was released as a download, as a CD and as a double LP .

Cover design

The cover shows an almost monochrome red surface, which can be seen on the edge structures of a rough line of lines when painting a canvas.
