We come to complain is the third album by the German indie rock group Tocotronic . It was published on April 1, 1996 by L'age d'or .

Recordings

The album was recorded in December 1995 in the Soundgarden Studio in Hamburg . It was produced by Carol von Rautenkranz and Christian Mevs.

Style and texts

The album continues the style of the first two albums and contains short pop-punk songs as well as longer rock pieces with extravagant solos. The lyrics are very personal and melancholy, but also contain concentrated anger and the catchy slogans that are typical for Tocotronic .

In the song titles and lyrics, Tocotronic u. a. to the band Team Dresch , the TV series I'm Marrying a Family and Mark E. Smith , the lead singer of The Fall .
