Jim "Jimmy" Parrack (born February 8, 1981 in Allen , Texas ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through his role as Hoyt Fortenberry in the television series True Blood and through his role as LCpl. Peter Kerns in the movie World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles , which premiered in March 2011. He is also used sporadically as a theater director .

life and career

Jim Parrack was born in 1981 in the city of Allen , Texas , where he grew up and attended Allen High School from 1996 to 1999 . After acting as an actor in high school, he moved to Los Angeles some time after graduating there , where he first stayed with a best friend's girlfriend in 2001 before settling in the Toluca Lake neighborhood . In LA he attended, among other things, The Stella Adler Academy for two years , from which he then moved to the Playhouse West Acting School and Repertory Theater in Toluca Lake. There he can still be seen regularly in various productions, currently in the play Welcome Home Soldier . After a few years with the local theater group, where he also worked alongside actor William Ngo and was trained by Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblub , Parrack finally made his film and television debut in 2006. He was first seen in the film Annapolis - Fight for Recognition in the not insignificant role of AJ . In addition, he was also seen in numerous internationally known television series that year, where he was only used for a single episode. This year he was seen in the series Monk , Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme , Standoff , CSI - On the trail of the perpetrators , Grey's Anatomy and Close to Home . Although he then mainly focused on his work at True Blood , he was used in an episode of Supernatural in 2009 and brought it back to a film role in 2011. In addition to his acting roles, Jim Parrack is also president of the Beverly Hills- based production company 120 Productions, Inc. , which was founded in 2007. On October 19, 2008, he married his current wife, Ciera Parrack , who also works in the acting field. Parrack's wife has already appeared in a theater piece he has directed. Furthermore, the native Texan tried his hand at scriptwriting and film director, but was not yet able to make a film, although he had already planned a film in 2009.
