Tom Mison
Tom Mison (* 23. July 1982 in Woking , Surrey , England as Thomas James Mison ) is a British actor . He is known for his theater roles and for his role as Ichabod Crane in the series Sleepy Hollow (2013-2017).
life and career
Tom Mison was born in July 1982 in Woking , a town in the English county of Surrey , and grew up there. He attended a public school and then graduated from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London . He began his career in 2004 in a production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet at the Old Vic Theater . In the following years he appeared in various plays, such as in an adaptation of the French film Children of Olympus at the Arcola Theater in 2006 , in When the Rain Stops Falling at the Almeida Theater in 2009, in Posh at the Royal Court Theater in 2010 , which in 2012 again with Mison was performed in London's West End and in 2011 in Henry IV Part I and II at the Theater Royal .
He played his first role on television in 2005 in Russell Mulcahy's adaptation of Jules Verne's novel The Mysterious Island , Mysterious Island , which was broadcast on the US broadcaster Hallmark Channel . This was followed by appearances in the television film A Waste of Shame: The Mystery of Shakespeare and His Sonnets (2005) and in the television series The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (2006), Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2007), Wenn Jane Austen knew (2008) , Lewis - The Oxford Crime (2009) and New Tricks - The Crime Specialists (2010). In 2009 he took on a leading role alongside Rupert Friend and Keira Knightley in the short film The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers .
In 2011 he appeared in two movies, first as Callum in Two in One Day and then as Robert Mayers , the missing friend of Emily Blunt's character, in Salmon Fishing in Yemen . The following year he starred in the award-winning miniseries Parade's End - The Last Gentleman in the role of Potty Perowne . From 2013 to 2017 he portrayed in the Fox - Mystery series Sleepy Hollow - an adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - the main character of Ichabod Crane .
