Tomo Vukšić (born January 9, 1954 in Studenci ) is a Croatian-Bosnian clergyman and Roman Catholic coadjutor archbishop of Vrhbosna .

Life

Tomo Vukšić studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary in Sarajevo . The Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Marko Jozinović , ordained him on December 3, 1979 as a deacon of the Mostar-Duvno Diocese and the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, Petar Čule , ordained him on June 29, 1980 .

Then Vukšić was two years as parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Mostar before joining for further studies after Rome was sent, where he at the Pontifical Oriental Institute for Doctor of Divinity in the subject Ecumenical Theology doctorate was and at the Pontifical Urban University , a licentiate in trade Acquired canonical law . After returning to his homeland, Tomo Vukšić became director of the Theological Institute of Mostar and vice-rector of the Theological Faculty of Sarajevo, where he also taught. In 2009 Vukšić was appointed vicar general of the Mostar-Duvno diocese.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 1, 2011 military bishop of Bosnia and Herzegovina . He was ordained bishop by the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic , on April 2nd of the same year; Co- consecrators were Ratko Perić , Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, and Franjo Komarica , Bishop of Banja Luka .

On January 22, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Coadjutor Archbishop of Vrhbosna.
