Clay pit Hüttwohl

The clay pit Hüttwohl is a nature reserve in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 19 hectare nature reserve, designated as such in 1980, is located in the Bendorfer Stadtwald in the northwest of the Kannenbäcker plateau , which is part of the Niederwesterwald . The former clay pit is located directly on the former Limes . It provides a habitat for endangered animals and plants that need the bodies of water and wetlands to survive.
