The Hüttenweiher is a nature reserve in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The pond is located in Sayn , a district of Bendorf and originally served to supply the Bendorfer Concordiahütte with water .

The pond is about 150 meters long and a maximum of 40 meters wide, part of the Mühlenbach or Rotherbach, an artificial body of water fed by the Saynbach III , also belongs to the protected area . Order. It was made available as a compensatory measure for the establishment of the Concordia site in the area of ​​the former Concordia hut and placed under nature protection. The street Am Röttchenshammer runs north of the pond .

The Hüttenweiher nature reserve (NSG-7137-041) has a size of approximately one hectare . It was placed under protection on November 15, 1985 by the Koblenz district government .

The purpose of protection is the preservation of the hut pond and its surroundings as a habitat for rare wild plant species and wild animal species that are threatened in their existence.
