The Dr.-Heinrich-Menke-Park is a nature reserve in the district of Mayen-Koblenz in Rhineland-Palatinate . It is located in the "Rhein-Ahr-Eifel" conservation area on the district of the local community Arft .

The approximately 23 hectare nature reserve is located on the western slope of the Raßberg . It is characterized by the montane juniper heather landscape, which consists of an almost typical heather landscape with extensive juniper stands. Special features of the flora and fauna are few Calluna -Heide, location typical insects, Fieldfare , Woodlark , goshawk , buzzard and deer , fox and hare . Many insect species, including wart-biter , Colorful grasshopper and silver-studded blue , have been observed.

The area was placed under protection on April 25, 1966 by the Koblenz district government . It bears the area number "NSG-7137-027".

The nature reserve is named after Dr. Heinrich Menke (1880 to 1956), a biology teacher from Koblenz who, in his role as state commissioner for nature conservation, also campaigned for the preservation of the juniper heaths.
