Graswerth is an island in the Middle Rhine near Koblenz in the Mayen-Koblenz district . The island is 2.6 km long and a maximum of 240 meters wide. Their area can be estimated at around 0.3 km². It is uninhabited and can only be approached with boats . It is part of about 75 ha large nature reserve , which in 1978 under nature conservation has been asked and live in the many rare species of birds. The Bendorfer Bridge leads across the island in the extreme northwest (downstream) .
Graswerth is separated from the larger, southeastern neighboring island Niederwerth by the 1.7 km long and 60 meters wide branch of the Rhine, Rothe Food . On the right side, the island is separated from the right bank of the Rhine by the Vallendarer stream arm . The islands of Graswerth and Niederwerth together form the municipality of Niederwerth.
