The Kurbüsch nature reserve is located in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 49 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2001 , extends east of the local community of Wassenach . On the southern edge of the area runs the state road L 116, to the west runs the L 113. To the south-west lies the Laacher See .
The area contains a population of old beeches and oaks that characterize the landscape .
