Torgeir Bergrem (born September 20, 1991 in Harstad ) is a Norwegian snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Bergrem has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2007 . In March 2007 he took second place in the Slopestyle at Max Glory Daze in Trysil, his first podium finish. In November 2009 he reached second place in slopestyle at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in Schladming . At the beginning of the 2011/12 season he won the Slopestyle at the New Zealand Winter Games in Cardrona . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in October 2011 in London , which he finished in sixth place in Big Air . At the Snowboard World Championships in Oslo in 2012 , he finished 23rd in slopestyle. In the 2013/14 season he achieved third place in slopestyle at The Mile High in Perisher Blue and at the Snowboard Jamboree and FIS World Cup races in Stoneham . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came 24th in slopestyle. In March 2014 he won the Grandvalira Total Fight in Grandvalira and finished the season in sixth place in the Tour Big Air ranking. The following season he took third place in the Big Air event Air & Style in Beijing and tenth place in Innsbruck . In January 2016 he took second place in slopestyle at the 14th Red Bull Open in Beijing. The following month he came third at Air & Style in Innsbruck and came in 16th in Los Angeles . In the same month he achieved fifth place in Big Air at the X-Games Oslo 2016. At the Snowboard World Championships 2016 in Yabuli he came in 22nd place in Big Air competition. In March 2017 he won the bronze medal in Big Air at the X-Games Norway in Hafjell and took fourth place in Slopestyle. In the 2017/18 season he took third place at the Air & Style and World Cup in Beijing and in slopestyle at the Banana Open at Wanlong Ski Resort and at the Spring Battle in Flachauwinkl . At the Winter X Games 2018 in Aspen he came ninth in slopestyle and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang he came eighth in slopestyle and seventh in big air.
