reception

criticism

Trilla was awarded four out of five possible rating points in a review by Laut.de. The editor Dani Fromm states that Ross' second album is like “ a force of nature that one shouldn't get in the way of. “For example, the productions of the songs are highlighted as particularly powerful. Stylistically, the beats contain typical elements of hip-hop from the American southern states, including the chopped & screwed technique . Fromm praises Speedin , the joint piece with singer R. Kelly , as a successful combination of hip-hop and R 'n' B , which is not " softened ". On the other hand, the hookline of the song I'm Only Human received negative criticism . In terms of content, the same Trilla as the previous album and the rapper's rhyme structures are described as simple. In return, Rick Ross delivers a " captivating performance " and also knows how to convey the impression of " appearing solid and hungry as hell ."

success

Like his debut album Port of Miami , Trilla also reached number 1 on the US sales charts. In Canada, the album was able to position itself at number 14.

With his single Here I Am , Rick Ross was able to reach number 41 in the singles charts. The Boss reached number 17 on the US charts.
