The Chadobez ( Russian Чадобец ) is a 647 km long right tributary of the Angara in central Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).
course
The Tschadobez arises at a height of 343 m from the source rivers "Great Chadobez" ( Bolshoi Tschadobez ) from the right and "Little Tschadobez" ( Maly Tschadobez ) from the left in the extreme east of the Krasnoyarsk region and south of the former autonomous district of the Evenks , about 140 km as the crow flies north of the city of Ust-Ilimsk in the neighboring Irkutsk Oblast . The two source rivers, some 30 to 40 km long, arise in the southern part of the Central Siberian Mountains , which in this area reach heights of 500 to 600 m .
The Tschadobez flows through its entire length in western directions, mostly in wide arches and meandering in a relatively wide valley , but in sections also narrow, rocky valley the taiga landscape of this mountainous country. In the lower reaches, it turns south and after flowing through a section with a multitude of rapids near the village of the same name, a good 20 km northwest of the city of Kodinsk and 20 river kilometers below the dam construction site of the Boguchany reservoir into the more than 1500 meters wide Yenisei tributary Angara .
The Tschadobez is a good 100 meters wide and 2.5 meters deep near the mouth, and the flow velocity there is 1.2 m / s.
Hydrology
The catchment area of Chadobez covers 19,700 km². It has no major tributaries; the most important are Terina and Punja, both from the right.
The mean annual runoff at the village of Jarkino , 133 km above the mouth, is 57.4 m³ / s, with a monthly minimum of an average of 5.9 m³ / s in March and a maximum of 387 m³ / s in May. The river freezes over from October to May.
Use and infrastructure
The Chadobez is not navigable.
The area through which it flows is only sparsely populated. Next to the village (and administrative center of the country homonymous municipality with 1600 inhabitants) Seledejewo with its neighborhood Tschadobez near the mouth there is in the entire catchment area of the river, only the set on its middle reaches village with 202 inhabitants (all in Rajon Keschma ). The road leading from Bogutschany dam to Seledejewo and further down the right Angaraufer crosses Tschadobez almost three kilometers above the mouth with a 250 meter long bridge, the only one over the river. In addition to a road to Jarkino, there is only one road in the area that crosses the river on the upper reaches and represents one of the two land connections in the Evenki Nationalrajon, which are only passable in winter due to the lack of bridges, and leads via Wanawara to the district administrative center of Tura .
