Tura ( Russian Typa ) is a settlement in the Krasnoyarsk Region in Russia . She was until its dissolution in 2007 the administrative center of the Autonomous Okrug Evenk , today the Rajons Ewenkijski, the "Rajons the Evenki ".

Tura is located at the confluence of the Kochetschum in the Lower Tunguska and has 5535 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

history

The place was founded in 1924 with the aim of establishing and "colonizing" the Soviet state in the remote region, which was only sparsely populated by Evenks , Kets and Yakuts .

From 1938 to 2011 Tura had urban-type settlement status .
