Kosulka ( Russian Козулька ) is an urban-type settlement in the Krasnoyarsk region in Russia with 7998 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 100 km as the crow flies west of the regional administrative center of Krasnoyarsk . It is located between the river Kamenka (also called Talowaja) and Tscherjomuschka that for a good 10 km to the east running right Chulym creek Kemtschug drain.
Kosulka is the administrative center of the Rajons Kosulski and seat of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Possjolok Kosulka, also includes the settlement located about 15 km northeast Kedrovy to.
history
The place was founded in 1892 in connection with the beginning building preparations for the Central Siberian section of the Trans-Siberian Railway . On April 4, 1924, Kosulka became the administrative seat of a district named after him, and since 1962 it has had the status of an urban-type settlement.

Kosulka is located on the Trans-Siberian Railway (3980 km from Moscow ), which was opened on this section in 1899 and has been electrified since 1959 . To the north, the settlement is bypassed by the federal highway R255 Sibir (formerly M53), which connects Novosibirsk with Irkutsk and is part of the transcontinental road link.
