Dubinino ( Russian Дуби́нино ) is an urban-type settlement in the Krasnoyarsk region ( Russia ) with 9,497 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The settlement is on the edge of the northeastern foothills of the Kuznetsk Alatau , almost 250 km west-southwest of the regional capital Krasnoyarsk on the left bank of the Beresch river, just above its confluence with the left Chulym tributary Urjup.

Dubinino belongs to the urban district of Scharypowo and is located a good 10 km northwest of the center of the city of Scharypowo.

history

In 1885, about five kilometers north of today's settlement, the village of Dubinino, founded by resettlers from central Russia and the Ukraine. It got its name after the family name Dubinin.

Today's prefabricated housing estate was built in 1978 in connection with the construction of the Berjosowskaja GRES thermal power plant as a residential area for the construction workers, later for the workers of the plant and the lignite opencast mines to the northeast . In 1981 the settlement received the status of “urban-type settlement” and was named after the old village of Dubinino . The first power plant unit went into operation in 1985.

Economy and Infrastructure

The building company is the Berjosowskaja GRES thermal power plant with an output of 1500  megawatts , which is now operated by OGK-4 . There are also various utilities.

Dubinino is on the railway line , opened in 1968 , which connects Krasnaya Sopka on the Achinsk  - Abakan line with the Kija-Shaltyr station near Belogorsk in the mining area on the Upper Kija , 168 kilometers away . A few kilometers east of the settlement there is a connection to the regional road R 412 , which connects Sharypovo and Ushur with the trunk road M54 near Nasarowo .
