Steffenhorst sports facility

Due to washouts on the edge of the playing field, the playing area had to be reduced significantly in 2015. Games of the senior teams could no longer take place on the facility.

The Steffenhorst sports complex was expanded into an artificial turf pitch in 2017, so that all teams in the club can train and play there again from the 2017/2018 season.

Amateurs Day 2018

On October 14, 2018, the association took part in the "Amateurs Day" proclaimed by the sports magazine 11Freunde . The aim was to inspire up to 1,000 spectators for the game on the Steffenhorst sports field. An unofficial attendance record was to be set for a game by a third team.

In the end, over 2,700 spectators came to Harpener Steffenhorst in perfect weather. An ARD camera team was also on site, so that the next day scenes from the game were shown in the ARD morning magazine. The locally known artist "Graf Hotte" performed during the half-time break. The game ended with a 5-0 win for TuS Harpen.
