Annike Berit Krahn (born July 1, 1985 in Bochum ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Krahn started playing soccer at the age of four. Via Westfalia Weitmar , SV Waldesrand Linden and TuS Harpen , she came to SG Wattenscheid 09 in 2002 and thus to the regional league. From 2004 to 2012 she played at FCR 2001 Duisburg . After she did not renew her expiring contract with FCR in the summer of 2012, she moved to the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain . There she signed a two-year contract until the end of June 2014, which she extended until July 2016. In May 2015 she announced her departure. For the 2015/16 season, Bayer 04 Leverkusen signed the 117-time national player at the time.
Annike Krahn ended her active career at the end of the 2016/17 season.
National team
In 2004 she became vice European champion and world champion with the U-19 national team. On January 28, 2005, she made her debut in the German senior team in the game against Australia . In 2006 she won the Nordic Cup with the U-21 national team . In 2007 Krahn became world champion in China with the German national team . At the beginning of the World Cup she was only a substitute player, because of the injury to Sandra Minnert she became a regular player and with Kerstin Stegemann , Ariane Hingst and Linda Bresonik formed a defense that no team could defeat.
At the 2011 World Cup in Germany, she was again part of the team . In Sweden she was European champion for the second time at the 2013 European Women's Football Championship. On March 5, she made her 100th international match at the 2014 Algarve Cup . In an interview, she said that she had never expected to make 100 internationals "because it wasn't technically enough".
On May 24, 2015 she was appointed to the final squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada by national coach Silvia Neid . On November 26, 2015, she led the national team for the prevented regular captain Saskia Bartusiak as captain in her 128th international match in a 0-0 draw in Duisburg against England .
In 2016, Krahn was added to the national team for the women's Olympic football tournament in Brazil. She won the gold medal in a 2-1 win in the final against Sweden .
After the tournament in August 2016, she resigned from the national team.

Others
Krahn received her Abitur at the Schiller School in Bochum in 2004 and studied sport with a focus on management at the Ruhr University Bochum . During the winter semester 2008/09 she did an internship in the marketing department of VfL Bochum . In 2010 she completed her sports studies with a degree in sports science and then worked on the organizing committee of the women's soccer World Cup in Bochum. She recorded the song Football Summer with the pop band Sportrock and Alexandra Popp . The CD was released on May 20, 2011.
