Uğurcan Çakır (born April 5, 1996 in Antalya ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Çakır started playing for the youth department of Istanbul Çekmeköyspor in 2008 and moved to the youth department of Istanbul Yamanspor a year later. Here he was discovered by the Trabzonspors talent scouts and transferred to the Trabzon youth department in 1461, Trabzonspors ' second club. In 2012 he then switched to Trabzonspor's offspring.

In the summer of 2014 he was awarded a professional contract and was listed as the 4th goalkeeper in the professional team's list of players. However, he spent the 2014/15 season exclusively with the Trabzonspors junior teams and only moved into the professional team as the third goalkeeper in the 2015/16 season. Due to the suspension of the goalkeeper Onur Kıvrak in July 2015, Çakır was used in the Europa League game against Rabotnički Skopje from the start of the game, making his professional debut. In the further course of the first half of the 2015/16 season, he completed two Turkish Cup games for Trabzonspor. For the second half of the season his club loaned him to the second club, the second division club 1461 Trabzon.

National team

Çakır started his national team career in November with a commitment for the Turkish U-19 national team and a year later also played for the Turkish U-20 national team .
