Kamil Ahmet Çörekçi (born February 1, 1992 in London ) is an English - Turkish soccer player who plays for Trabzonspor . He is of Turkish Cypriot descent.

Youth career

Çörekçi was born in London to Turkish Cypriots . Here he attended the renowned Caterham High School and began playing club football in the youth of Fulham FC at the age of nine . He also took part in the London Youth Games in 2006 as a player in the Redbridge District teams and was able to win this trophy again with his team after 50 years. In 2008 he moved to the youth team at Millwall FC .

Club career

Bucaspor

In 2010 he accepted the offer of the Turkish Süper Lig promoted Bucaspor and moved to Turkey. There he first played for two months in the reserve team and was then also taken into account by the professionals from November 2010. After the winter break, he won a regular place and made 18 league games by the end of the season. Bucaspor missed relegation and so Çörekçi played with his club in the next season in the second-rate TFF 1st Lig . Here, too, he played regularly and only missed a few games until the winter break. On December 5, 2011, it was announced that his current contract was terminated after mutual agreement with his club.

Kayserispor

Just two days after his contract with Bucaspor was terminated, there was speculation in the media about a move to the Süper Lig club Kayserispor . That rumor was confirmed a month later and Çörekçi signed a four-year contract. At Kayserispor he played for the reserve team for a month and was then taken over into the professional squad. By the end of the 2011/12 season, he had played eight league games and two cup games for his team.

Adana Demirspor (loan)

For the 2013/14 season, Çörekçi was loaned to the second division side Adana Demirspor .

Eskişehirspor

In the spring of 2014 he moved to the first division club Eskişehirspor .

Trabzonspor

With the end of the contract Çörekçi left the club Eskişehirspor, which was now playing in the TFF 1st Lig , and moved to the traditional club Trabzonspor .

National team career

Kamil Ahmet Çörekçi started playing for the Turkish national youth teams at an early age. He went through almost all youth teams from the U-16. In 2009 he took the Turkish U-17 team at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup in part, reaching with his team the quarterfinals.

With the U-19 he took part in the U-19 European Football Championship in 2011 , but was eliminated from the tournament with his team in the group stage. This was followed by 19 missions for the Turkish U-17 national team . In 2014 he also made his debut for the 2nd selection of the Turkish national team , for the Turkish A2 national team.
