Ulrich Reineke

Ulrich Reineke (* 1965 ) is a flotilla admiral of the German Navy and head of the planning department in the naval command in Rostock .

Military career

Training and first uses

Reineke joined the Navy in 1984 as a member of Crew VII / 84 . From 1985 to 1988 he studied aerospace engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and graduated with a degree in engineering . After completing the A courses, Reineke was deployed as an artillery officer on the destroyer Lütjens from 1990 to 1991 . From 1991 to 1993, as part of an officer exchange program with the French Navy , he was used as a navigational officer on the frigate Georges Leygues , home to Toulon . From 1993 to 1994 Reineke completed the B courses before he was used as an ASW officer and later as the second ship operations officer on the destroyer Mölders . Service as a staff officer

From 2000 to 2002 Reineke was as an aide in Chief of Navy Vice Admiral Hans Lüssow and from 2002 to 2004 as a staff officer use in the International Military Staff of NATO in Brussels used. From 2004 to 2006 Reineke was first officer of the frigate Cologne , and from 2006 to 2008 the commander of the frigate Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , with which he participated in the UNIFIL mission off the Lebanese coast. Service as an admiral

On January 1, 2017, Reineke, succeeding Flotilla Admiral Jürgen Mannhardt , became head of the planning department in the naval command in Rostock. On this post he was promoted to flotilla admiral himself.
