Cengiz Umut Meraş (born December 20, 1995 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Meraş played for the youth departments of the Istanbul clubs Şehremini SK, Sarıyer SK and Yeşilköy SK. In the latter, he was discovered by the talent scouts Boluspors and transferred to their junior department.

In March 2014 he received a professional contract here, but spent the 2014/15 season exclusively with the youth teams Boluspors. For the 2014/15 season he moved up to the professional team and made his professional debut in the second division game on October 19, 2014 against Altınordu İzmir .

In the 2018/19 season Meraş moved to Bursaspor . He has been playing in France for the second division Le Havre AC since the 2019/2020 season .

National team

After Meraş had become a regular at Bursaspor and had convinced over a longer period of time, he was nominated for the Turkish national team by national coach Şenol Güneş for the first time in his career in two senior international matches in May 2019 . He made his international debut in the test match against Greece on May 30, 2019.
