Ute Appelt-Lillack

Ute Appelt-Lillack (born February 23, 1959 in Zwickau ) is a German draftsman , ceramist and sculptor . She lives in Lutherstadt Wittenberg .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ute Appelt-Lillack worked for Herbert Viecenz from 1977 to 1979 and completed an evening course at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig . She then studied from 1979 to 1984 at the University of Fine Arts in Dresden, specializing in plastic with Gerd Jaeger and Klaus-Michael Stephan and with Hermann Naumann in ceramics . From 1984 to 1985 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Joannes Avramides. It was there that she became acquainted with Josef Pillhofer . In the period from 1985 to 1987, additional studies took place with Gerd Jaeger at the Dresden HfBK. From 1987 to 1991 she worked as an assistant and teacher at the HfBK in Dresden. Small sculptures were created, including a 173 cm tall sculpture for the Dresden State Art Collections . One of her forms of expression are the color orders on the statuettes. Later she met the painter and graphic artist Siegfried Appelt. She lives in Wittenberg and produces small sculptures with figurative expressive expression in a wax melting process in bronze . Her works are mostly for private use, for institutions, collections, galleries and various authorities.
