Utta Danella - The Blue Bird is a German two-part series by Dietmar Klein from 2001 and 2002. The film adaptation goes back to Utta Danella's novel The Blue Bird and is the 2nd and 3rd episode of the film series. The main roles are occupied by Annett Renneberg , Dietmar Schönherr , Alexandra Schiffer and Timothy Peach .

As a child, Christine Kamphoven watched her father shoot her pregnant mother. Since her father is now in prison, she grows up in Breedenkamp, ​​Ostholstein, with her grandfather. Her neighbor Oliver is in love with her.

Then Christine learns that her mother's child survived. Her half-sister lives in Italy and she brings her to Breedenkamp. Christine falls in love with Julian Jablonka, a journalist, whom she discovers with Maja in a clear position.

Julian flies to Italy to bring Magnus, Christine's father back to Kamphoven. But he had an accident on the return flight. Then Jon, the grandfather, has a heart attack. But Oliver stands by her side.
