Víska , until 1980 Nová Víska (German Kratzau-Neudörfel , also Kratzauer Neudörfel ), is a district of the city of Chrastava in the Czech Republic . It is located two and a half kilometers east of the center of Chrastava and belongs to the Okres Liberec . To distinguish it from Nová Víska ( Neudörfel ), the place is called Chrastavská Nová Víska by the locals .
geography
Víska lies at the foot of the western foothills of the Jizera Mountains on the edge of the Grottau basin ( Hrádecká pánev ). The settlement extends southwest of the Novoveský vrch on the left bank of the Chrastavský potok, a small tributary to the Jeřice ( Görsbach ). To the north rise the Spálený vrch ( Brandberg , 581 m), the Lysý vrch (Kahleberg, 643 m) and the Kameniště ( Neundorfer Steinberg , 608 m), to the northeast the Závětří (432 m) and the Novoveský vrch ( Neudörfler Berg , formerly Steinberg , 511 m), in the southeast of the U Lomu (461 m), to the southwest the Ovčí hora ( Schafberg , 496 m) and in the northwest of the Pšeničkův kopec (461 m), the Výhledy ( Gickelsberg , 569 m) and the Vítkovský kopec ( Wittigberg , 503 m). To the south, the Bedřichovský les ( Friedrichshain Forest ) extends to the valley of the Lusatian Neisse .
Neighboring towns are Růžek and Nová Ves in the north, Nová Víska , Amerika and Mníšek in the northeast, Fojtka in the east, Krásná Studánka, Bělidlo and Stráž nad Nisou in the southeast, Svárov , Stráž nad Nisou, Bedřichovka and Hamrštejn in the south, Andělskáwest Chrastava in the west and Horní Chrastava and Vysoká in the northwest.
history
Neudörfel was founded at the beginning of the 18th century by the owner of the Grafenstein estate , Wenzel Graf Gallas, on the northern edge of the Neundorfer Forest. The first written mention of the settlement consisting of a hunter's house and some wooden chalets was in 1713. The year before, Wenzel von Gallas had acquired the Neundorf estate from Johann Joachim Pachta von Rayowa and added it to the Reichenberg lordship, which also belonged to him . The inhabitants of the village lived from work in the forest and agriculture.
In 1832 Kratzauer-Neudörfel consisted of 13 houses with 110 German-speaking residents. The parish was Kratzau . Until the middle of the 19th century Neudörfel remained subject to the allodial rule of Grafenstein.
After the abolition of patrimonial Neudörfel formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Ober-Kratzau / Hořejší Chrastava in the Bunzlauer Kreis and judicial district of Kratzau . From 1868 the village belonged to the Reichenberg district . Since the end of the 19th century, some of the residents have been earning their living from wage labor in the Kratzau factories. The Czech place name Nová Víska has also been used since 1924 . With the Waldschenke and the Kaffee Peuker there were two excursion restaurants in Kratzauer Neudörfel, which were mainly visited by day trippers from Reichenberg . After the Munich Agreement , it was incorporated into the German Reich in 1938; until 1945 Kratzau-Neudörfel belonged to the district of Reichenberg . After the end of the Second World War, Nová Víska came back to Czechoslovakia. In 1946 and 1947, most of the German-Bohemian residents were expelled. Most of the houses in the small village have remained uninhabited since then. 1948 Nová Víska was incorporated together with Horní Chrastava to Chrastava and at the same time assigned to the Okres Liberec-okolí. Since 1960 the village has belonged again to the Okres Liberec . In the course of the incorporation of Nová Ves with the district of the same name Nová Víska , Nová Víska received the official name Víska on July 1, 1980. Popularly, the two neighboring places are still differentiated as Chrastavská Nová Víska and Novoveská (Nová) Víska . In 1991 Víska had three residents. In 2001 the village consisted of three houses in which four people lived. In total, the place consists of 16 houses, most of which are used for recreational purposes. A civic association has existed in the Víska district since 2013.
