The Vallülabach is a small tributary of the Ill in the southern Montafon in Vorarlberg . With its two source streams, the Upper and Lower Vallülabach , it forms the Vallülatäler near Partenen .

Run and landscape

This lake, located about 2100 m south of the Breitspitz (2203 m), drains into the Upper Vallülabach

The Vallülabächer come from the Vallüla ( 2813  m above sea level ) in the Silvretta . They form a wide valley that forms the core of the Vallülagruppe (Nordsilvretta) and is framed by the main ridge of the Vallülastock and Breitem Spitz ( 2196  m above sea level , back of the Brätspitz ).

The approximately 3 km long Upper Vallülabach rises on the northern flank of the Vallüla on the Of da Budina pass landscape , which leads to Tyrol ( Sonnenberg des Kleinvermunt ), at around 2240  m in a wide spring meadow. It flows through the Vallülasee and turns west. He passes the derelict or abandoned Obere Vallülaalpe . ( 1890 m. Above sea levelTemplate: height / unknown reference ). A backwater flows into the Erzgruaba from the north, from Langenegg and the pond .

The Lower Vallülabach flows over 2 km from the Ogstaböda at about 2220  m at the foot of the Bielerspitze ( 2545  m above sea level ) and Kleine Vallüla ( 2643  m above sea level ) northwards. Below the Vallüla the stream flows from the lake in the Flamtäli on the Seekopf .

In the Bärenboden near the abandoned Lower Vallülaalpe ( 1746  m above sea level ) the two streams come together and are called Vallülabach . Here it leaves the high valley and enters a gorge between Breitem Kopf and Zaferna ( 2277  m above sea level ). The Marktobelbach from the Breitenberg flows here on the right . Then he steps into the head of the Illtal near Loch . Above the valley floor it flows into the Verbellabach after 1½ km , which itself flows into the Ill after a few hundred meters.

Nature and management

The Graubünden document book documents the Alps on Zeinis, in the Verbellatal , on Vallüla and in Vermunt as early as 1089 . The alpine farming of the Alpe Vallüla was given up in the 1950s. Here an extensive overgrown meadow of alpine grassland is formed , which is characterized by a special wealth of species and biotope types. A good stock of chamois and marmot uses the Weider space, there are also numerous lakes, from mountain lakes to silted ponds , on the northern edge, against the Alpe cop out and stone pine . Therefore, the entire area of 1900.18  hectares was registered in the Vorarlberg biotope inventory as the Vallülatäler large-scale biotope (no. 11020) and recognized as a jewel of the community of Gaschurn.

Geology and mining

The Vallülatäler are formed from ortho and mixed gneisses of the Silvretta crystalline . The area is also well-documented in depth: During the construction of the Vallüla – Vermunt pressure tunnel (Zaverna tunnel) by illwerke vkw , which connects the Kopssee with the Vermuntsee and the Vallüla valleys at altitudes between 1,710 and 1,720  m above sea level. A. , Otto Reithofer recorded the entire length of the tunnel in the 1940s .

The place Loch and field names such as Erzgruoba and bim Schlössle (in the Ganda on the Vallüla) are evidence of historical mining: The "Schlössle" was the location of the mountain supervisors and miners in the Montafon.
