coat of arms
Blazon : “Inside a silver shield border , inside ten blue diagonal diamonds; divided obliquely by black and gold; in black a red crowned and red tongued golden lion head, in gold the red planetsymbolMars or alchemical symbol for iron " | |
Reasons for the coat of arms: The coat of arms shows the head of the Palatinate lion ; all the municipalities of the Rheinböllen office, with the exception of Liebshausen , used to belong to the rulership of the Principality of Pfalz-Simmern ; the diamonds stand on the one hand on the Wittelsbacher and on the other hand for the number of communities. The alchemical symbol for iron refers to iron extraction and processing in the Rheinböllener area. The shield border as such marks the coat of arms as that of an office . |
