Vicente Horacio Saeteros Sierra

Vicente Horacio Saeteros Sierra (born April 6, 1968 in Santa Ana , Manabí Province ) is an Ecuadorian Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Portoviejo .

Life

Vicente Horacio Saeteros Sierra studied at the Seminary of Portoviejo and received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Portoviejo on March 25, 2000 .

After his ordination he was active in various parishes in pastoral care. After further studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, he obtained a licentiate in church history. Later he was Professor and Regens of the diocesan seminary and Episcopal Vicar for the North Chone zone of the Archdiocese. Until his appointment as auxiliary bishop, he was vicar general of the Archdiocese of Portoviejo and cathedral pastor of the cathedral .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Rusuccuru and auxiliary bishop in Portoviejo on May 16, 2020 . The Archbishop of Portoviejo, Eduardo José Castillo Pino , donated him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador, Archbishop Andrés Carrascosa Coso , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Portoviejo, José Mario Ruiz Navas .
