Vicky Kaya
Vicky Kaya ( Greek Βίκυ Καγιά , born July 4, 1978 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek model and presenter . She is the host of the Greek edition of Next Topmodel .
Career
Kaya was discovered in the fashion industry at the age of 14. Until she graduated from school, she only worked for advertising shoots. At 18, she moved to Paris and signed with Ford Models , which is where her international career began.
As a catwalk model, she worked for designers from Chanel , Christian Dior , John Galliano , Valentino , Emanuel Ungaro , Thierry Mugler , Vivienne Westwood , Matthew Williamson and Jasper Conran, among others . She was on the covers of Vogue , Elle , Cosmopolitan , Marie Claire , Harpers and Queen , Madame Figaro and Esquire and is considered Greece's most famous model. Her notoriety rose even further when she moved to New York and signed with Wilhelmina Models .
She is also known for her commercials for companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Virginia Slims in the United States and in Europe for Dove , C&A , Schwarzkopf , Nivea and L'Oréal, among others . In 2007 she founded the “Vicky and Friends” foundation, which works with smaller, lesser-known aid organizations to recognize and support their work. In October 2010 she married her long-term friend Nikos Krithariotis.
