Victor Stancescu (* 10. March 1985 in Bucharest ) is a former Swiss - Romanian ice hockey player who spent his entire career with the Kloten Flyers in the National League A spent.

Career

Victor Stancescu began his career as an ice hockey player at EHC Illnau-Effretikon and then joined the Kloten Flyers' elite A juniors via EV Zug and ZSC Lions in 1999 . In the 2001/02 season he made his debut in the first team of the Kloten Flyers in the National League A . In the 2002/03 season he also scored his first goal in the top Swiss league. Stancescu improved from year to year until he finally stormed the second block in the 2007/08 season . In the 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons he was runner-up with Kloten. During the 2012/13 season , Stancescu collected the most penalty minutes of all players in the league.

In September 2015 he retired after 585 games due to hip problems.

International

For Switzerland , Stancescu took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2002 and 2003 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2003 , 2004 and 2005 . In the senior sector, he was part of Switzerland's squad at the 2011 World Cup .

Stancescu graduated from 2005 to 2010, a study of law at the University of Zurich and graduated successfully with the licentiate from. He is married to Livia Stancescu (-Lazzarini).
